Opinion: I’ve gone thru two tubs of Cytomax, “Go Grape” and “Cool Citrus,” and I’d have to say this is one product that does what it says. I used to use Cytomax extensively when I was goin’ thru a jogging phase. Every time I put this in my Camelbak I felt good to go; I felt like I could run harder and longer than if I just had water with me. Of course this could just be a placebo effect, but I doubt it. The taste I’d describe as kind of a bland version of Kool-Aid, depending on how much you dilute it. In my opinion this actually helps a lot ’cause it allows you to gulp down lots while being easier on your stomach. As for its effectiveness during lifting, I did feel a bit more endurance in the gym but if you’re looking for a performance drink while strength training I’d recommend a nitric oxide supplement like Xpand. But any time you’re on a hike or a jog or doing any other type of steady state exercise Cytomax is a very good supplement, and definitely a lot more effective than “sports drinks” like Gatorade.
